Mrs. Debra Morris
I am excited to begin my nineth year as principal of Latta Elementary School. A graduate of Latta High School, I attended Francis Marion University where I earned a BS degree in Elementary Education. I am also proud to be a Carolina Gamecock and a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Master of Education in School Administration. My husband, David, and I reside in Dillon. We have two children, Chase and Meredith, a son-in-law, Daniel and a beautiful granddaughter, Braylin Grace. I feel very fortunate and honored to be a part of the LES family and look forward to another rewarding school year.
Thank you for visiting Latta Elementary School's new website. Our faculty and staff are happy to have you and your child as a part of our learning community and welcome you to another exciting and enriching school year.
As we begin this year, I encourage you to become actively involved in your child's education. Talk with your child about what he/she is learning each day in school. Stay abreast of activities and events that are taking place at LES through our school website. Homework assignments and other classroom information will be made available to you weekly on our teacher web pages. You may also want to take advantage of our Parent Portal which can be accessed through our district webpage.
I look forward to working with you to provide a safe, productive and academically challenging learning environment for our students.
