Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Patricia McLaurin
I am a native of Latta. After graduating from Latta High School, I attended the University of South Carolina where I obtained my bachelor's degree. This is my 22nd year teaching in the Latta school district. I am married to Robert Lee McLaurin III and have two very spoiled cats! We currently live in Latta and enjoy traveling to many exciting places.

**Reminder - Yearbooks will be $17 dollars after spring break. Yearbooks are being sold while supplies last.
***Students may bring 50cents per ticket for a drink and a snack at field days. If they would like both, they will need $1.00 for field day. We will get to watch 4th and 5th grade field days and students may bring money for that day as well. Students cannot bring over $2.00 for field days.

2nd Grade News
Students will write down the spelling words and voc. words for the story in their planner. Please check your child's planner daily for important information. We are looking forward to an exciting new year.
Spelling and vocabulary words can also be found in the useful links section under Spelling and Voc. words. Class Newsletters can also be found in the useful links section labeled Class Newsletters. The newsletter allows you to keep up with daily events and test dates. Also, in the useful links section are folders with helpful websites that you may visit with your child. Please take the time to explore all of these wonderful resources.
THINKING MAPS
Students will be working on all of the thinking maps that we have covered over the last eight weeks. These maps are used to enhance your child's education and make the learning process a success. You will be able to view their thinking maps during our next open house. 2nd grade students continue to work on their technology project using the circle graph.
